Does it get rough on the water?

 

No. We only cruise the calm waters of the Noosa River.

 

 

 

 

Will we get seasick?

 

The boat is very stable and does not venture into the ocean.  

A slight movement is felt when a fast moving boat or jet ski passes.

 

 

 

 

Will we get wet?

 

No. The boat can be closed or open by the use of plastic windows.

When they are closed, the boat is more weather-tight than most al fresco restaurants.

 

 

 

 

Can we change the menu and design our own for a charter?

 

Yes. Just contact us and we will tailor and cost your requirements for you.

 

 

 

Are there toilets on board?

 

There are 2 modern restrooms located on the dining level for your convenience.

 

 

 

Is the food fresh?

 

Yes. All the food on-board is brought on just prior to departure.

Unlike other boats, our food is prepared and cooked onboard, fresh.

 

 

 

Are you in contact with the coast guard?

 

Yes. We have marine radios and all other safety equipment on board with us at all times.

 

 

 

What are your terms and conditions of booking?

Private Charters - Further Information

 

When chartering the whole boat for exclusive use:

Music

We generally use our 160Gb iPod with a full range of music.

We can arrange for a jukebox to be brought on board (cost is approx $300). 

We can help you source live music, if you like, subject to guest numbers and logistics. 

You can, of course, choose or provide your own music using your own iPod and Playlists or by providing compilation CDs in advance for us to upload onto our iPod.  We cannot chop and change the music every 5 minutes, hence the need for Playlists.  

Our onboard sound system does not play CDs.

Decorations

Simple decorations are easy and inexpensive (we charge $65 for balloons and banners), or you can arrange it yourselves.  We can put you in touch with theming companies and decorators if you have the budget, but be mindful of the time you or the decorators may take prior to your cruise and the cost/impact on our earlier cruises.

Candles blow out on the river.  We recommend sparklers for cakes.

No confetti, rose petals, etc, are allowed onboard as they blow straight into the river.

Balloons (even helium) on long strings will blow in the wind and bash nana in the head.

Any table decorations should be weighted and not top heavy, due to the risk of over-balancing.

There is an LCD screen and DVD on board if you would like to show photo slideshows or homemade videos.

Where we go and when

We are able to cruise all the way from the rivermouth at Noosa Heads, to Elanda Point in Lake Cootharaba (subject to time and tides) and to stop at most places en route.  We are not surveyed for rough water cruises, nor are they particularly comfortable for guests.

Pick-ups from your resort jetty or from other Noosa jetties can be arranged, subject to numbers and logistics.

Departure times and durations are flexible, however, there may be an additional charge if your start or finish time impacts on our ability to run other cruises that day.  

Standard departure times are 10am, 1pm and 5pm.
